Shape the space around you knowing that It will repay you.
The Studio of Spatial Activities was created at the Faculty of Multimedia Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. It was set up as part of a transformation of the Studio of Sculpture Transplantation of the Faculty of Artistic Education, which was formed from the Studio of Open Sculpture, which was started in 2003 by Miroslaw Balka. Since its conception the studio has been co-led by: Ewa Bone (2003-2004), Katarzyna Krakowiak (2004-2007), Karolina Kubik (2010-2013), Anna Jochymek (2013-2015), Zuza Golińska (2015-2018), Anna Shimomura (2018/2019) and Tymek Bryndal (2018-2020).

The main aim of the Studio of Spacial Activities is to make an attempt to recognize and creatively shape the spaces in which we move and act. For its activities, the studio moves beyond the Academy grounds, paying attention to social and political problems that exist in the world around us. Students explore their cultural sensitivity, while looking for an artistic identity. By defining their place and exchanging their views with representatives of other places, students draw their own spheres of communication.
